This month we will be creating layouts with 6 photos. It sounds like a lot but with a little creativity you can easily do it. 

Here are some examples:

Creating layouts in block style allows you to add multiple photos to your page in multiple sizes and you still have a lot of room to journal. kit used is All In a Day - P52

Two large photos with a strip of four photos below or above is a classic way to add 6 photos to your page.Kit used is Hawaii Tropics.

This is such a fun layout. I like the two clusters of photos that overlap each other. A great way to fit 6 photos on a page and still leave room to journal. Kit used is Mexican Fiesta

The last sample is a photo strip. This works great in either direction. For this layout all the photos were vertical so Jacqui created long, narrow photo boxes. If you have horizontal photos you could flip the page 90 degrees and have wide, thin photo boxes. Kit used is Friendship Kit

It's time to look at fitting five photos on a layout. Sometimes it can look crowded but if done right it can look fabulous! Here is some inspiration. 

You can use a block style set-up. Here are several examples.

Here is a great idea to get your teams logo on the page, take a picture of it!

Five photos fit on a strip, especially when you make them vertical photo.

The next two layouts have a similar idea - one large photo with a cluster of three photos and then an offset 5th photo.

This month our focus is on fitting 4 photos on a layout. Here are a few samples of how my Creative Team did it.

I am not sure how to describe this but I will try. If you look at the two layouts below by Jacquie and Jonyce you can see that three of the photo create somewhat of an upside down L or C shape with the fourth photo tucked in. I think tucking the fourth photo in makes it look nice and cozy. Give it a try and see!

We have the same idea as last month where you create a bunch of shapes and add photos into some of them. Love that Kat used hexagons on this layout.

Another great option is putting one larger photo on the page and then a strip of 3 photos. As you can see below you can do this vertically or horizontally.

You can add shapes to your page and mix your photos in with the page. This layout by Kat is so much fun because it mimics water bubbles! Kit used is Awesome Boy.

A second option is to place your photos in a row across or up and down your page. This seems to be a popular way to arrange 3 photos which makes sense because it looks so good. Check out the various ways this can be done: Kit used below is Yard Work.

Another option is to cluster your photos in a group on the page. I like how Linda tucked two of her photos behind the title and embellishments and kept the focus on the view. Kit used is Outdoor Adventure.

This month we are scrapbooking layouts that have 2 photos. Please visit the forum to take part in my monthly challenge based on these layouts. 

There are many ways to create layouts with just 2 photos. You can group your photos and leave a lot of white space, use 1 large photo and one small photo, 

Kit used is Construct It. This layout works so well with the group of 2 photos, an embellishment cluster behind to draw your eye to the photo group and a lot of white space so nothing else distracts you on the page. 

This layout works well with 2 photos by highlighting the main photo by making it large. Details of the house they are working on is highlighted in the smaller photo by the title. You could draw even more attention to the smaller photo by creating a larger white border around it. Kit used is Sister Bundle.

The key to getting this layout to look balanced is that Jonyce added a shape in for her journaling and balance it out with a couple of embellishment clusters. In this case you don't want to leave the left hand corner blank because it may make the page look unbalanced. Add something large to the left corner. Kit used is Time to Travel Pack. 

Try putting both of your photos into a circle. This confines them and helps them not to get lost on the page. Add some embellishments to finish off the theme and you have a fun page. Note that this page is busy and the frames really help to bring focus onto the photos. When you are using a lot of embellishments it is a good idea to use a frame to draw attention to where you want the viewer to look. Kit used is Doctor Doctor.

This year I am going to focus on the number of photos, starting at one and going up to 12 by December. As the months go by I will add samples of more and more photos on each page. So January will focus on layouts with 1 photo, February layouts with 2 photos and so on and so forth. 

Since it's January we will focus on layouts with 1 photo. Single photo layouts look great with all sizes of photos. I have chosen a variety to show you. 

Tip: When working with a single photo on a large page you need to make sure you keep the focus on the photo, you want to make sure your photo is tight in on your subject so it (they) are easy to see. If working with a small photo it can help to put a white border around it to draw attention to it. 

On this layout Jacqui chose to have the photo that take up half the page. This page is nicely balanced between the photo and the journal box. This is a great size if you still want to add some embellishments and have a lot of journaling.You could put the photo above if you have a horizontal photo and journal on the bottom half of the page. Kit used is Cheer Bundle.

Similar to the layout above Kat is using a medium to large photo to tell the story here. As you can see she has focused on the backpack. She has used supporting school elements to help tell her story and balanced the photo out with the circle where she could add the journalling.  Kit used is School.

In this layout Kat used the elements to help tell the story. This is a great way to create a layout when you have one photo and your kit has topic specific elements. It adds so much fun to the page. Here she has faded the edges to blend the photo into the page which adds a great touch.

Kit used is Waterslides and Pool

Here is another page with a smaller photo and supporting elements. I like how Jonyce added the faded paper behind her photo to draw attention to it and then the white border to make the photo really stand out. Kit used is July 4th Independence.

I like how this photo is so small and the only one on the page yet it is still the focus. The photo is a head shot which works great for the size. He doesn't get lost on the page. The elements support the story of his cuteness. Again a white border is used so the photo doesn't get lost. Kit used is For the Boys. 

I always love large photos on a page. You can use the entire page for your photo and add embellishments in two opposite corners to balance it out. Jonyce blended this photo into the background for an extra cool effect. As you can see the two girls in the photo are still cropped tightly and remain the focus. Kit used is Mother's Love.
