Let’s welcome PapierStudio as this week’s Featured Designer! About Papier Studio I was born in Rio de Janeiro and now live in São Paulo. I’ve been married to Egon for 46 years, and together we’ve built a life full of love, family, and creativity. After three years apart, my son and his family are finally coming back from Beijing this September, and my heart is racing with happiness—especially because I’ll get to hold my 3-year-old grandson again. Since childhood, painting has been my passion, and today I express that love through mixed media art. I’ve been a digital designer and art teacher since 2008, when I created a blog full of tips and tricks for digital scrapbooking. My creative world is always inspired by the little things that spark wonder and the timeless details that carry stories through color, texture, and imagination. From delicate flourishes to whimsical touches, I love blending the nostalgic with the playful to create pieces that feel unique and full of life. Let’s welcome Aimee Harrison as this week’s Featured Designer! Q&A With The Designer: Aimee Harrison Where do you call home? I call Wyoming, Michigan home. It is a suburb of Grand Rapids and I grew up about 4 blocks from where I currently live. The house I live in has been in my partners family since 1980 when Tyler moved here with his family and we met in 2nd grade. What is your favorite book? I have several books that I cannot live without but the one that changed my life was Roots by Alex Haley when I read it at 16. I remember reading it and I could not put it down. I read throughout the night, bawling, and had to go to school the next day. It was incredibly moving. What is your favorite season? My favorite season as an adult is Spring. I love the new growth, all the rain and watching the garden start out. I also love the weather which is not too hot yet. Growing up my favorite season was Autumn because I loved school, football games and seeing my friends. Are you a morning person or a night owl? I am most definitely a morning person. I like to wake up early enought to watch the sun rise. Its funny because my partner is a night owl and when I wake up, he is going to sleep. What makes you laugh the most? I have to say that Tyler, my partner, makes me laugh the most. He says the funniest things and likes to shock me to the point where I fall over. I have Cataplexy which makes me fall over like I fainted or fell asleep when I laugh really hard and he always makes it happen. It always cracks us up.
