Scrap Inspiration by Happy Scrap Arts

Hi, my name is Eileen aka Happy Scrap Arts.

I am back with a new blog series full of inspiration to scrap your photos. Everyday photos or events, lots of them deserve to be embellished with some elements, clusters and a background of course. Doesn't matter if you are making a photobook or just one page.

Clusters are great to embellish your photos and pages. They are easy to use and they give a great effect to your layouts. I have many add on packs with clusters. They will make it easier for you to make your pages as they are ready to use and you just have to place them on your pages.

Most of my cluster packs or word art overlay packs have different versions of each cluster in the pack so that you can choose the way you want them. For example: a cluster with or without the word art. If the word art doesn't fit your photo, well then you just choose the one without it. Same for the accents/brushes/stains behind the cluster, there is always one without it in the set. So, you can also use the cluster if you want to place it over your photo or frame.

And of course, if you also have the element pack, you will find these in there so that you can place the accent behind your photo/frame, that way it will not pass over your photo but it will still be there behind a part of the cluster.

These accents will brighten up your papers, even more if you use a light background.

Example made with my collection Girly:

And made with Artsy 1

Did you ever think about using the same cluster in a smaller size as an extra accent on your page, like in a corner? You could even repeat the photo like that. It will give a great look to your page. That is also a way to show off 2 photos that are almost the same, but just a bit different. When you can choose which one you want to use, well just use them both. A little one and a big one.

Example made with the collection Stacked:

And with the collection Dive into Summer

And why not save your photo book to use it again later. You can just move the cluster around, use another version, another frame, or another background. That way you will quickly make a new photobook with a different look but you are saving a lot of time.

You can also make your own clusters of course. All the elements that I use in my clusters are mostly in the matching kit or element pack. Just save your cluster in layers, in a My Memories Suite album. If you want to make a different page or photobook, all the elements are already on the page, you can just move them around. Now that's a fast way to make your layouts! Like this you can embellish and save all your memories, print them if you want, and look at them or show them to your friends and family.

Some more examples:

The collection Artsy Sunflowers contains 2 add on packs with clusters, you can see on the previews that there are several versions of each cluster.

Clusters are very easy to use on a page with a masked photo. Just placed them on the page and it will give a beautiful effect to your photo.

I have many other cluster packs in my store here
