Lori and Heidi are sisters making up the duo behind Scraps N Pieces. We have been designing together since May of 2011 (I think) and have come a long way. Heidi has been an artist since she could hold a pencil and Lori loves the business side as well as the technical aspects of designing and QCing.
We both have 3 kids, 2 daughters in law and we each have one grandbaby. We are both reality TV junkies (Survivor, SYTYCD, The Voice). Heidi loves going to movies and Lori loves staying home and catching up on cooking shows and Fixer Upper.
We would both love to travel more and are up for spontaneous road trips anytime.
Heidi says, “Chocolate with crunchie things are my fave! Fake people annoy me. I love designing with the curves feature in Photoshop, picking color palettes and doing previews. My most embarrassing moment was when I flipped a rubber band during church and hit the speaker in the forehead. My greatest achievement would be being a mom and now a grandma. I love to laugh hard until I can’t breathe and my cheeks hurt. I can’t sing, but I love all types of music.”
Lori says, “Peanut butter m&ms and buttery popcorn are my favorite go to snacks. I love cooking and reading and going to the gym. I love designing and getting to have this creative process with my sister. I love having my kids over for Sunday dinner each week and being a grandma is the best! I’ve dreamed about owning a food truck, but I think that ship has sailed. We recently sold our home and bought a “fixer upper” and are excited to get it remodeled. We also purchased 5 acres that we hope to build on someday.”
Our favorite kits right now are “Miles Apart” and “Sweet Magnolia” and we have a new one coming soon called “Chantilly Lace” that turned out beautiful.
