Tell Us A Story........
HI! My name is Carole, and I live in Michigan with my husband Neal of 34 years and our eighteen year old daughter Chloe. Although I grew up in the suburbs of Detroit, I moved to a rural area thirty years ago and I absolutely LOVE it! There's an abundance of wildlife in our area, and it's not uncommone to spot wild turkeys, canada geese, sandhill cranes, wood ducks, mallards, deer, fox, possums, raccoons, groundhogs, chipmunks, squirrels, red tailed hawks, skunks, and snapping turles, along with a wide variety of livestock, both exotic and domestic in our neighborhood! Every drive is an adventure, and lots of these creatures eventually find their way into my page kits!
I'm an animal lover and can't imagine life without some kind of pets. We currently have a houseful of cats, (too numerous to name), as well as an elderly black lab named Sally and a Jack Russel terrier cross named Tizzy. Over the years we've also raised goats, turkeys, rabbits, hamsters, parakeets, fish, and geese!
I'm an avid crafter and painter, and I've spent many happy years teaching and sharing my skills with both the Girl Scouts as well as 4H. I think I started to draw as soon as I could hold a crayon, and along with painting, some of my favorite hobbies have been ceramics, crochet, quilting, and jewelry making. My most recent passion is art journaling!
I love reading, and I never miss a day! I read every night before I go to sleep, and I also manage to squeeze in a few minutes here and there whenever I can! I'm a big fan of murder mysteries and thrillers, as well as fantasy. As far as I'm concerned, the bigger the book the better! I especially love books that come in a seriesI I get so involved in the characters that I really hate for the stories to end!
I usually only watch TV in the evenings when my family is home. We watch a lot of reality shows, like So You Think You Can Dance, and Masterchef. My guilty pleasure is "Bob's Burgers." I also love watching foreign films, and I'm a huge fan of KDrama! In fact, I love learning about other cultures, especially the foods!
(Fun fact: Although I like to cook, I don't like to cook every day, so I make huge batches of food so we can live on leftovers!)
Let's see, what else can I tell you? I'm attached to my laptop and can't bear to be away from it. I always have to have something in my hands to keep them busy. I'm a news junkie, I like to keep up with what's going on in the world. I listen to music while I work, my faves are soundtracks, chorale, jazz, world music, and Kpop! I hate going to sleep so I usually stay up as late as I possibly can every night! I love flowers, but I'm a horrible gardener, so I mostly landscape with shrubs and hardy plants that are practically indestructible!
And finally, I LOVE being a designer and creating digital art for you to enjoy!
