Hi, my name is Joy.
I am the designer behind, Memory Mosaic here at My Memories.  Welcome to my Blog Series “Scrapping my Everyday”.  I find that it is fairly easy to make special pages for all those big, special events in our lives, but when it comes to making a page about our everyday life, or the “mundane” it becomes a bit trickier.

This has been a crazy year.  Never in our lifetime have we lived through something like this.  It has sometimes been hard to separate the facts from opinions.  There are as many different opinions and ideas about everything happening as there are people in the world.  One thing holds true for all of us, we all have faced times throughout this year of fear, anxiety and just feeling like we have absolutely no control.  That is why this month, for my journal/devotional kit, I decided to focus on “I Can!” I can help… I can love… I can care… I can laugh.  Yes, I can!

These last 9 months have looked like none others that have come before.  Things we always did we have not been able to do, but what have you been able to do?  What memories have you been able to make.  Have you had more time to spend with your children.  Have you had some quiet time, to just pause and enjoy your family, your garden, your hobbies?  Have you had a time you normally wouldn’t have for reflection… for dreaming.  Yes, there are a lot of things to be concerned about and it is super easy, (at least for me) to become consumed by all of them.  So this month, I am focusing on what I can do, instead of what I can’t.

The following layouts were made by some of my very talented CT members, using my new kit and highlighting some everyday activities, or precious candid shots of their grandkids, and they have turned some “ordinary” photos into a precious memory.

I  host 2 challenges on the My Memories Forum, every month.  The first challenge is Scrapping My Every Day.  I want to challenge you to be inspired to make a layout highlighting some of those everyday things.  If you make a layout and post it in the challenge thread by September 30, I will send you a link for FREEBIE made using the I Can kit.

The 2nd challenge, starts on the 16th,  and is my monthly “Sketch Challenge”.  Each month I supply you with a sketch for an idea, and challenge you to scrap about a particular theme.  I also put the links for my blog, where you can grab my Monthly Blog Train Freebie along with all the links for the rest of this month’s train.

You can find both challenges HERE.

Hope to see your beautiful layouts in my challenge threads, in the My Memories Forum.
