This month we are going to focus on Siblings. Do you have more than one child? No children, how about a brother or sister? When as the last time you scrapbooked a layout that focused on sibling relationships, the good and the bad?
Do you have a lot of photos of yourself with your siblings or your kids together? With these types of photos we don’t always have a lot to journal about, the photos are simply of everyday family life as siblings.
Thankfully we don’t have to journal on all our layouts. We can allow the title to tell the story. For inspiration here are a few samples using my new Siblings collection in the My Memories store.
These are some fun photos Kat used of her kids to create a fun layout. Notice how the bright, bold colors play into the feel of the layout. Kit: Siblings Bundle.
Here is a layout by Jacqui. She has said so much with just a few word elements and the journal card. Kit: Sibling Bundle.
Here is a layout I created without any journaling. I allowed the quote on the tag (included in the kit) to tell the story. I love the colors in this kit, but for this layout I didn’t want the colors to be so bold and bright so I de-saturated all my elements by -25%. I am very happy with the results! Kit: Sibling Bundle.
Here are a couple more layouts for inspiration with the same title as used in the layout above. Kit: Sibling Bundle. Layout by Kat
Here is a layout by Jacqui highlighting her daughter’s aunts and uncles. Kit: Siblings.
When I read this quote I knew I wanted to include it in my kit. I haven’t had a chance to use this journal card quote yet, but I plan to soon!
I encourage you to gather some sibling photos and create a fun layout. Remember, a title or journal card can say so much. You don’t have to think of what to say, allow the title or journal tag/card do it for you.
