Documenting Your Life Blog Series with ADB Designs

This is your story.  Do it YOUR way.  I write in my journal and scrap pages inspired by my journal entries. Two of my CT journal directly on their scrapbook pages and don't keep a separate paper journal. Others keep only a paper or computer journal and are waiting to create the scrapbook pages at a later date. There is no wrong way to do this, just pick up pen or mouse and DO IT. You can join me at any time with this series. You can scrap just the questions/prompts that inspire you, or all of them. You can scrap from the current question and go forward, or you can start at question 1 and move through them in order.

Each post (every other week) I will share the current question/prompt and layouts created by myself, my creative team or scrapbooking friends.

Note about sharing layouts from Cole:
We would LOVE for you to share YOUR layout's with us! Just create a 600x600 px jpg layout and email it to Cole npeak@storyrock.com subject line D.Y.L Layout!   With your permission, I will post it to the MyMemories BLOG DYL Series (right here), Instagram, Pinterest & Twitter.  Along with your layout, please do include the question/prompt number and the name of the My Memories designer(s) and the name of their product(s) you used.  If you would like to post it directly to our MyMemories Facebook wall please click HERE. You can also post your layouts in the MyMemories Forum HERE.

Several of my creative team are active and avid genealogists.  I love the heritage pages they create and my newest collection A Visit With The Past is in response to a request from them for a generic and useful collection
of products to use as their “go to” collection.  They are very pleased with it and I hope you are too. With the previews of the collection below, I have also included some previews of the heritage specific products so you get an idea how they might be useful for you.

Q40

Have you ever undertaken a research trip/vacation to do genealogy? Scrap about the trip and what (in general) you found out about your ancestors AND what you discovered about yourself.  If you have not made this type of trip, what has your genealogical journey made you realize about yourself?

Here are some marvelous layouts from my Creative Team using A Visit With the Past:

Wishing you the best heritage scrapping experience; if you have any questions, please post a note in the DYL (Documenting Your Life) forum and I will do my best to offer assistance.

Best regards,
Diane

It is a new year and often that means resolutions for change.  I have goals I am working towards all the time; not just at the New Year.  However, this year, I did make a resolution: to start keeping a reading journal of all the books I read. I read a lot, I cannot believe I waited so long to do this.  Better later than never!

My creative team shared with me that they are going to do more genealogy scrapping this year and I have a kit being released on Jan 16 that is perfect for just that.  A Visit With the Past....watch for it!

Q39

What resolutions have you or an ancestor made in the past? or…   What resolution are you undertaking now? How have previous resolutions made changes in your life or the life of others?

Here are some marvelous layouts using my new Good Times collection, it too is perfect for heritage photos and journaling, including resolutions, along with modern images as well.

Happy New Year and Happy Scrapping!
Diane
