Thinking Outside Of The Box with LLL Creations
One of things I've learned while scrapbooking is that some embellishments are limited as to how you can use them. Or so it seems.
Take borders for example. Many of them have one flat edge for going up against the side of your page and the other edge is decorative. But that doesn't mean you HAVE to use them at the side of your page.
Here is an example. This border was made to go on the left side of the page.
But that shouldn't stop you from trying other options.
Here is the same border rotated and used in all 4 corners.
And here is the same border used at only the top and bottom of the page.
You could also mirror a copy of the border and put it behind the first one to make it a double edged border ...
Or why not use the border around your entire page like this ...
Or make the borders smaller and create a frame with them!
The possibilities are endless!
And then frames ... Sometimes a frame that was made horizontally cannot be used vertically if it has decorative items or words in a horizontal direction.
Like the frame in the next layout ...
You are working on a vintage book and have all these frames but they don't seem to be working with your photos and they are cutting people out of the picture.
Because of the flowers on this frame, it wouldn't work if it was turned to be a vertical frame because the vase and flowers would be sideways ...
Or would it work?. A simple solution is to just cover up that part of the frame after you turn it!. Great, now everyone fits in. :)
These are just a few examples but there are countless ways to use your scrapbooking stash.
The moral of the story is ... don't limit yourself with items that were made to work a certain way. Think outside of the box and you will be using your kits over and over with a totally different look.

Beautiful! By using different borders with our favorite photos we can give an attractive look to it. Moreover, our photographs can get an elephant when printed on canvas.
