Q&A With The Designer: QueenBrat Digital Designs
If you lived 500 years, what would your profession be?
If
I lived 500 years I would most definitely still be designing because I
love it! I really get enjoyment out of making scrap kits and would
continue designing as long as my hands and eyes let me.
What is your favorite season?
My
favorite season is Autumn! So I'm really excited right now. It's been
a very long, hot summer in West Virginia and I'm looking forward to the
cool, chilling nights of fall. There's nothing better than cuddling
with my quilt and doggie and watching some tv at bedtime. And we love
playing in the leaves in the yard outside. Plus, everything turns into a
pumpkin which makes my tummy happy....lol.
Do you collect anything?
I
collect Elvis Presley memorabilia. Now that vinyl records have become
popular again I have been able to add remakes of his albums to my
collection that I can actually play. I have a lot of original albums
that I refuse to even take out of their cover for fear of scratching.
It's so nice to be able to play the vinyls. That's what I grew up on!
What is your biggest fear?
My
biggest fear has always been getting cancer. My daddy died when he was
48 with cancer that they told us was a hereditary form. So I have also
felt I was a ticking time bomb waiting for that diagnosis. Ten years
ago they found a suspicious lump. Luckily it turned out to be a cyst.
I've had a few more cyst over the years...nothing major to worry about.
Until two weeks ago! I found a pea-size lump that didn't feel like a
cyst. So right now I've been to the doctor, had a mammogram, had an
ultrasound, and am in the process of being sent for a biopsy. Am I
worried? Somewhat. This is all God's plan and it's going to work out
the way HE wants it to. Just keep me in your prayers, please.
If you could only eat one meal for the rest of your life, what would it be?
Okay,
something to make you laugh! My one meal for the rest of my life would
be a big old country breakfast! Fried eggs, bacon, sausage, biscuits,
gravy, fried apples, grits, ham, and pancakes. With orange juice and
coffee to wash it down.
