You Matter – Quick Tips for the August “Use It All” Challenge

Working with the You Matter Use It All sampler? Here are three fast ideas to stretch the mini and get more pages—without repeating yourself.

1. Combine pieces to make “new” elements. I used the doily as a mat and clipped the small dark patterned paper to it—instant custom element while using two items from the mini.
2. Small prints make perfect photo mats. A tiny patterned paper reads almost like a solid when it’s cropped down. I used the small print under my main photo for a clean, defined mat.
3. Turn the journal note into a photo frame. Several talented participants did this! I used the magic wand to select the gold area of the note, duplicated it to a new layer, and clipped my photo to that shape. Because the note is layered, the clip creates the look of a stacked bundle of photos and papers—so easy and cute.
