Friendship Gardens are created with no particular plan in mind. As plants are thinned and offered to loved ones, good friends, and even internationally, we share a piece of ourselves to others in the name of cultural exchange (there are "sister" gardens between Japan and California, for example), or love and kindness between friends, neighbors, and other community members. My new collection, Friendship Garden, embodies these ideas and ideals.
The elements are traditional with a bit of vintage mixed in. There are a number of word strips and titles to express your feelings, a beautiful teapot, ephemera, frames, buttons, ribbons and lace, and loads of foliage and flowers. The color palette is bright and cheerful with blue and teal, avocado and mint, fuchsia pink and sunshine yellow.
