As we continue our journey of documenting our ancestors and researching their stories I thought we might be able to use a collection that focused on the era before automobiles. When you move back to grandparents and great-grandparents and great-great-grandparents it becomes very appearant that they were not as mobile as we are today. Often they lived their lives in a small geographic area. They married their neighbors, they did not take vacations beyond visiting relatives; sons and daughters settled nearby. It was a different time, constrained by the difficulty of long distance travel.
Q103-ideas
Scrap about a travel related story you have uncovered in your research.
Scrap about a community your ancestors lived in or nearby to.
Horse and Carriage Days is a wonderful collection in palette of blue, orange and gold with rich green and browns. Here is a page starter frame cluster gift for you made by my CT member Pia.
Here are the previews from the collection and some layouts from my creative team for inspiration. Note the use of the collection to tell modern stories as well as stories from the past.
Happy scrapping!
