Journaling & Dating Your Pages

Hello, sweet scrappers! I’m happy to be posting here again about journaling and dating your pages.

Dating your pages is so important! I promise, those times when you go back and look at the beautiful pages you’ve made over the years, if you forgot to date them, you will wish you had. ;D And it’s not just important to you… you're leaving a legacy in your pages, and those who cherish them will need dates to be able to place people and occurrences in their family history.

There lots of fun ways to date your pages. Date stamps and date dials, are available to add some dating style to your layouts. I created the following page with the photo of my daughter and grandson in 2008 and didn't date it. Luckily I was able to get the date from the other half of a two-page layout and added the date stamp on Rebecca’s sleeve. (I wish I could let you know who created the beautiful kit from which this page was made, but it was a long time ago and I didn’t make note of the kit. Dang!)

You can use the date stamp as a mask, or blend it into your page by coloring it or adjusting the transparency. There are lots of ways to use them. I’m listing some great products you might enjoy using from our very talented designers.
