Why Scrapbooking? with QueenBrat Designs

 https://www.mymemoriesblog.com/search/label/Why%20Scrapbooking%3F

Welcome back to my blog series about “Why Scrapbooking?” This time I have chosen “They make great gifts” as our project since the Christmas season is upon us.

In the My Memories Print Shop you can have your projects printed into beautiful gifts. These include photo books, single pages that you can then frame, and calendars.

Please read about the deadlines for Christmas here.

To begin your scrapping project you will need the following:

1. A digital software program capable of opening .jpg and .png files. I recommend My Memories Suite for this project. Other software can be used if you have a working knowledge of how it is done, but I will be showing you projects made using only the My Memories Suite program.

You can purchase the latest version (My Memories Suite 9) at MyMemories.com. You can use my code STMMMS64124 and save $10 on your purchase. Grab it here.

My Memories Suite Version 8 will also be given away by MyMemories.com as a ‘Thank you’ to their customers from November 28-December 11. Hop over to the website and download your free copy here.

2. Gather your photos. This is your chance to use a series of photos or if you have one photo that tells the whole story that is great!

3. A scanner to scan your photos onto your computer.

4. Digital graphics that include digital backgrounds and embellishments (flowers, frames, ribbons, bows, etc…) to decorate your scrapbook page. I have oodles of digital graphic scrap kits available for sell in my MyMemories.com store with themes for holidays, sports, love, memories, and much more. You can visit my My Memories store here.

5. A cup of coffee and some creative inspiration!

Are you ready to give today’s project a try?

Let’s start with a Scrap Page template. Once printed this can be framed and turned it into a great gift!

This template was made for the My Memories Suite Software and can be received when participating in my November challenge on the My Memories Forum here.

I used my “Noel” kit to create it and it is available in my store here.

Are you ready for the second Printable Gift Project?

Make a 2020 Calendar with your kids and family photos, have it printed, and give it Grandma! Grandma will treasure seeing her lovely family everyday!

There is a large variety of calendar templates in the My Memories store. Right now I have only one available. You can purchase it in a 12x12 or 11x8.5 format here.

This Calendar was made using my scrap kit ‘Blooming Flowers’. You can purchase the kit in my store here.

Be sure to check back next week when I will have several more Calendar templates available.

Our final project is a Photo Book! These make awesome gifts!!!

Photo books are also fairly easy to put together using the My Memories Suite software. The Photo Book templates are not flattened so you can slide in extra photos and embellishments or totally remove an embellishment that you don’t like. When you purchase one of the Photo Book templates from My Memories you also receive all of the background papers and embellishments that were used on the pre-made pages so you have the option of creating additional pages.

I am currently in the process of creating photo book templates for some of my kits and will be adding them to the store as they are completed. My first photo book template has just been released in the store.

It is available as an 8x8, 11x8.5 and 12x12 and includes a cover and 25 pre-made pages.

You can purchase it here.

I used my ‘The Birthday Girl’ scrap kit to make this photo book. You can grab the kit here.

I hope you enjoyed the forth post in my “Why Scrapbooking” series. The next installment is coming soon!
