Scrapping from A to Z with Kathryn Estry!

Hi!  I'm Kathryn Estry, a designer here at MyMemories, and I'm back with another episode of From A to Z.  My goal is to give you a new idea with each letter so that you'll never be at a loss as to what to scrap or how to make your pages look amazing. Luckily for me, I have a brilliant Creative Team, and the inspiration layouts I use in this series were made by the talented ladies on my team.

I'm hoping you'll see some things in my A to Z Blog Series that you want to try!  If you do take any of these ideas and run with them, I'd love to see your layouts!  Please post them in the MyMemories forum in this month's A to Z Challenge thread HERE. Everyone who posts a layout in my challenge thread this month will receive a surprise prize!

Today for E, I'm bringing you ideas that are...

EASY, yet ELEGANT!

I'll bet each and every one of you could use more time in the day and would love to make your layouts quickly but still have them look great!  Here are some EASY ways to do that.

1. Keep it simple.  You don't have to fill up your page will a lot of elements.  Leaving "white space" is fine and actually brings your eye to your photo which is where it should go anyway.  Look how simple ~ easy, yet elegant ~ these pages by Kathy and Liz are.

Kathy used Coral Rose and A Kind of Hush for her layouts, and Liz chose March Scraps.

2. Use premade borders. Many of my collections have extra packs that will make your scrapping SO fast.  Take advantage of premade clusters and borders and frames and other premade sets.  Borders are created with a lot of different elements so you don't have to find and place each element to get a great look.  Just add a border to your page!

Liz's layout uses a border from Antique Lace, Michelle's pretty fall layout is made with a border from A Grateful Heart, and Terry used one of my brand new Baby Love borders.

3. Use premade layered papers.  These are also in my store in a lot of my collections!  Don't miss this time saving type of product!  My layered papers come in two layers each so that you can easily slip a photo between the layers.  Add a little journaling or other elements if you'd like, but If you want to simply add a photo and save your page, you'll still have a beautifully complete layout.  Again, Easy, yet Elegant!

This first image shows two of my layered papers from different packs and how they're actually in two layers for your convenience.

You saw Baby Love Borders above.  Yvonne used this same collection but chose to use one of the quick and easy Layered Papers.

Look how great Liz's page looks with a layered paper from my Believe in Miracles Collection

My last example is from Falling For You and was made by Liz

MY FAVORITES:

Since I don't usually name kits with words that start with E, I decided to show you my two favorite Easter kits, one for the kids and one with a religious theme.

You can't get much cuter than Funny Bunnies.  It's been a favorite of mine for some time.  Liz and Lori made really sweet pages with this kit.

Kathy and Michelle have beautiful pages to their name using my other favorite Easter kit, Because He Lives

You can make your pages Easy, yet Elegant using these ideas, and again, I invite you to visit my forum challenge, Scrapping with Kathryn from A to Z.  :)
