About The Designer: PapierStudio
About Me – Silke Lemcke - PapierStudio
Hi,
I'm Silke—the creative mind behind PapierStudio. Born in Rio de
Janeiro, I'm a true Carioca at heart. The beach has always been part of
my soul, and swimming or diving into crystal-clear waters is one of my
greatest joys—right alongside art and painting. I'm a photographer, art
teacher, and passionate designer. Digital scrapbooking is my creative
therapy, and over the years, I’ve shared countless tutorials to support
beginners entering this inspiring world. I’m constantly learning and
evolving, especially in Mixed Media—my favorite way to blend traditional
and digital techniques. Even with all the digital tools at my
fingertips, I still love the feel of paper and pencil. My artistic world
also blends with home life: my husband shares my love for crafts, and
together we recently created a series of wooden bunnies that I
hand-painted in vibrant Folk Art florals. For me, the fusion of organic
and digital art isn’t just a style—it’s my everyday rhythm.
A Few of My Favorite Things
Digital Scrapbooking Treasures
I
have a soft spot for vintage-style teddy bears—especially the ones that
look well-loved or are dressed in old-fashioned elegance. I also love
painting roses and delicate flowers, adding a timeless charm to my kits.
One of my favorite combinations? A cozy teddy, blooming roses, and an
elegant collectible teacup. It’s pure magic on a page.
Artful Reading
I’m
endlessly inspired by flipping through art books. Folk Art and
Impressionism always draw me in with their warmth and expressiveness.
Even the simplest handmade booklets by local artists hold a special
place in my heart—they’re full of soul and creativity.
Nature Escapes
There’s
nothing quite like a peaceful ride in our old Jeep down winding country
roads, soaking in the scenic beauty. These quiet, rustic landscapes
recharge me and often sneak into my artwork.
Hands-On Hobbies
Carpentry
is another passion of mine—especially when I get to create wooden
pieces and bring them to life with hand-painted Folk Art. It’s such a
fulfilling way to blend creativity and craftsmanship.
To finish off we would love to share some of PapierStudio’s favorite layouts:
