New look, Feature Designer and our BIGGEST giveaway!

Hey everyone! Welcome to the new blog for My Memories! We redid the look of our main site www.MyMemories.com and couldn't wait to make some changes here as well. We have SO MUCH in store and can't wait to share tons of exciting tutorials, freebies, challenges and giveaways with you.

Take a minute and check out our new features. You can follow along through that gadget on the left to get the latest updates and keep in touch through facebook and twitter. You can also click on those tabs up top to check out our past tutorials and inspirational ideas for all your digi needs. We have MUCH MUCH more coming in these categories and will inform you along the way as we move everything over. We are really excited about our new forum! It's fresh out of the bubble wrap, so please feel free to get in there and ask us any questions you might have, show off some great things you made or just say hi! We can't wait to really build our forum community so we can all learn and get ideas from each other.

Since we are SO super excited for our new look, we wanted to dive right in and feature one of our fantastic designers:
Meredith Cardall

I started scrapbooking in high school and I loved it! But it made a really big mess and it wasn't exactly easy to store all my scrapbook gear in my college apartment!  I loved scrapbooking, so I dealt with it.  Then, when my older daughter was about 9 months old, she was crawling around my office and choked on a blue adhesive tab (remember those?!).  It scared me to death.  I Googled "computer scrapbooking" and found a really fun community.  Six years later, I am working as a designer in an awesome industry. I really do love designing and creating in a way that I never could before digital scrapbooking.  While I LOVED paper scrapbooking, my pages never quite looked how I wanted them to look.  My hands don't get the artistic messages that my brain is sending out! :)  My mouse and Photoshop get it, though, and I just love creating digital art. 

-What do you snack on when you design?  Anything that won't walk away from me! :)  Most of the time it's veggie chips or pretzels.  And I usually have a big fountain Coke, too.

-What's on your iPod?  Everything from alternative to country to barbershop to boy bands and girl pop.  My favorite design music is Lenka, though.

-What is your main design inspiration?  I get my inspiration from a lot of different places.  I love to use nature, my children, home decor & paint swatches and fabric - I LOVE fabric!

-What is your favorite footwear?  I am a bit of a shoe addict, so this one is tough!  I wear flip flops year round - I grew up near the beach in Florida.  But I love a good pair of heels when I have a reason to get dressed up, which doesn't happen very often!

My favorite kit that is actually IN the MMS store is Love in the Air.
