It's Digital Scrapbooking Day!

Here's a great note from our Guest Blogger, Katie Kuras - Katie is a friend on our Facebook page - I asked her to write a short note about what she thinks of her My Memories Suite software and what it can do!  Here's what she said (and here's some super cute pages she did - and if you think you're busy - Katie has a young set of twins AND a brand new baby!

Thanks for sharing Katie!

I was sick of the hassle and mess of paper, even though I loved doing it- it just became a whole "thing" trying to keep up with. So I thought maybe I could read some digital scrapbook software reviews on Amazon, even though I didn't think I could do digital or that it would be as fun as paper. But that is when I came across My Memories Suite and after reading the reviews (the only one not to have a bunch of negative reviews!) I decided to try it out and I am so glad I did! It is so easy and so fun and so addicting!!!!!!! I will never go back to paper! I sold all my paper scrapbooking stuff and will never look back! I am loving having a clean dining room table (without bits of paper and stacks of photos all over it)! And I am keeping up so much easier!!! Best of all, I have tons of beautiful layouts to show for it! I wish I had found MMS sooner!

This is so cool. Katie, I was going back thru all the old layouts shared on FB the other day & came across your page on the sonogram of the baby. The page was fantastic & had all the things I need to do my neices new baby boy who will join us in March. I was so thrilled that you named the company you got it from & took off to find it. I just finished loading & filing and can't wait to make the page. And bamb here you are as the guest blogger. Love your work, thanks for sharing.

Thanks to Katie for sharing her story and adorable pages! I have been collecting paper scrapbooking supplies for the last few years, with plans to get it all organized and create all of these wonderful scrapbooks full of memories. My supplies had spilled out of my craft room and into my husband's den - and I still hadn't completed a single page! I was so intimidated by the whole thing - it seemed like an impossibly huge project. And I'm ashamed to admit how much $$ I spent on supplies! Enter My Memories Suite 2 - I'm learning it very quickly, it's super economical, and - best of all - there's NO MESS! No, there's something even better than that: I'm actually creating and FINISHING pages! I love it, and am so excited - I'm talking about MMS2 to my sisters, nieces and online friends. I'm convinced it's the way to go - Thanks MMS!

I couldn't agree more about the ease of digital scrapbooking with MMS! With paper, it was so hard to always have the right color for embellisments or alphas, now we have the Color Picker and can match the color exactly.

Took the words right out of my mouth. I received MMS for my b-day last year from my stepmom and immediately upgraded to MMS 2 and have not stopped creating. I became a scrapbook collector (instead of creator)and had a whole closet designated to it. Everytime I started creating paper pages it turned into CHAOS! I ♥ MMS and the community!

I'm a newbie to the MMS and I love Digital scrapbooking, I was hooked the first moment that I found out how easy it was. I was a hands on scrabooker and found out that I just did not have the time to cut and tape and print pictures, my oldest daughter is 8 and I'm still on her first birthday and I have a 9 month old now so I know what I will be doing, it gives me a great chance to have me time in frount of the computer when the kids are in bed, and I love to IM with my best friend who also has the program, we work together but of course from our own homes. Maybe Santa will be good to me this year I'm hoping for a faster computer to get a lot more pages done. The pages are precious and simple at the same time!

I know what you mean! My girlfriend had been trying to get me to use MMS and i just couldn't do it b/c I had SO much paper stuff! I finally saw an awesome deal on a laptop and bought it for JUST scrap-booking. Loaded all my scrap-booking programs on it and I haven't looked back! I started doing digital for the year 2010, but I have 3 yrs previous that I need to catch up on! I'm finishing with all the pictures I already printed off and then I will forever be done with paper scrap-booking! It is so much easier and portable to do it on the computer! MMS is so easy and simple that I rarely go outside it for other programs. I really need to figure out how, but MMS makes it so easy I figure why bother!

I love the freedom of being able to scrap digitally. I used to do paper scrapping, but our house is small enough that I didn't have a dedicated space for my supplies to stay out. Each time I wanted to scrap, I'd have to haul everything out and take over the dining room table. It took so long to get everything ready, that I didn't really have time to scrap much, and found that I rarely went to the trouble to drag out the supplies again. Now that I'm digitally scrapping, I can work 15 minutes at a time if that's all I have and there's no mess.

I am very proficient in PhotoShop (the full-fledged version, even) and yet, I prefer to do scrapping in MMS. Love this program!!!

Thanks MMS for making me once again love to scrap!

Katie hit it right on the nail! Paper scrapbooking got expensive. It also became a hassle to mess with all the tools, and shopping at the store...making sure I had the right background and stickers before I left.
MMS is such a great program! I even re-did previous paper scrapbooks I made to make them digital.

As much as I LOOOOOOOVE paper, I just could not find myself digging out all of the necessary supplies to make the sort of pages that I want. I adore pages jam-packed with ellies!! :)
So, I read several reviews and decided to purchase MMS. What a FANTASTIC product! I love the user-friendliness and all of the fabulous "things" it can do.
The bottom line is that NOW I am actually making pages!! I have made about 20 so far in the last few weeks. Before MMS, I made 4 pages over 5 years!!!
Thank you!!!!!!!!!!!!
p.s. LOVE THE FB PAGE!!!

Katie,
I couldn't agree more, while I haven't sold all my paper scrapbooking stuff (yet), I haven't touched it for scrapbooking since. Having just one large table in our home has always been a hassle because meals have to compete with my crafting......LOL...... not any more. I LOVE the ease of digital scrapbooking, how quickly pages come together, how easy it is to share your creations and not to mention the Christmas shopping that is going to be accomplished via MMS. :)

I love MMS, it is so much faster and easier than paper scrapbooking. It's so nice to be able to let my kids look at the books and not worry about them ruining it, because I can always have another book made.

Just purchased MMS today and like what I see so far. I've been looking for the first tutorials but seem to be running into a brick wall.

The version 2 tutorial said if this was your first time using MMS to go back and check out the first tutorials for version 1, but I can't find tutorial 1 or 2, they start with 3 and then go on to 4. Any suggestions.
